one year, for christmas, I got my mom a copy of Alice Cooper's Alcohol Cookbook. It was a feature in Creem magazine a year before I was born...



Pina Colada A La Cooper (for Six)

10-ounces of dark (151 proof) rum
1/6 fresh pineapple (chipped into sections)
16-ounces of fresh coconut milk

Directions: Pour the rum into a bowl, and soak the pineapple in the rum. Pour the rum and pineapple mix into a blender. Add two additional ounces of rum, and the cocunut milk, plus two-ounces of fresh pineapple juice, and one tray of ice. Blend until freezing. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a cherry.


Velvet Hammer

1-ounce of gin
1-ounce of apricot brandy
1-ounce of dry vermouth
1-dash of Maraschino liqueur
1-dash of orange bitters

Directions: Stir with ice, and strain into a standard cocktail glass.


Royal Setup (Preconcert Drink of Choice)

8-ounces of Coca~Cola
1 ice cube

Directions: Consume until you feel prepared to face 20,000 screamin' teenage maniacs.



Lizard Skin

Directions: Hallow-out half of a large orange. Pour in one large jigger of brandy. Flame the brandy, then extinguish quickly. Drink!


Tunafish Malted (for Hangovers)

1 can of tunafish
2 scoops of pistachio ice cream
4-ounces of cream

Directions: Blend. Drink. Go back to bed.


Night of the Living Dead

2/3 jigger of 90 proof rum
1-1/3 jiggers of 86 proof Gold Seal rum
2/3 jigger of 86 proof White Label rum
2/3 jigger of pineapple juice
2/3 jigger of papaya juice
The juice from one lime
1-teaspoon of powdered sugar

Directions: Shake well with ice, and pour into a tall glass. Decorate with pineapple and a cherry. Top off with 151 proof Demerara rum. Sprinkle powdered sugar over the drink. Attack!


H-Bomb

1/4-ounce of yellow chartreuse
1/4-ounce of green chartreuse
1/4-ounce of brandy
1/4-ounce of bourbon whiskey

Directions: Shake well with ice, and starin into a glass. Beware of alcoholic fallout.


Mai-Tai Massacre

1-ounce of light Jamaica rum
1/2-ounce of orange curacao
1/4-ounce of Orgeat syrup
A dash of juice from a whole lime

Directions: Mix and pour. Leave no trace of the struggle.

Directions: Squeeze 1/2-lime into a 12-ounce glass, and drop in the lime rind. Add ice cubes and 1-1/2 jiggers of vodka, and fill with ginger beer. Stir 'n' serve.

Directions: Combine in a tumbler the juice from one-half of a lemon, one jigger of raspberry syrup, and one jigger of brandy. Fill with chilled champagne. Celebrate.
