I need advice on the whole burlesque thing and I couldn't think of anyone better to ask. We have the basic idea of what we are going to do, but we are fucked for choreography. Do you have any ideas of maybe movies we could watch for some inspiration? Or just something in general we could use as a source for inspiration? If you have any ideas, they would be greatly appreciated. We have this puppet idea... Beth and I are going to do a duet and perform a wonderful song she has written, with Johnny(the guitarist of her band) playing an acoustic guitar and probably Travis(her drummer) playing drums (just a simple beat so he doesn't drown out the guitar). We want them both to be dressed as marionettes with the dusty brown suits, hats and strings. Beth and I will most likely start the show out as marionettes as well but, as far as the dancing part goes, we have no ideas. I haven't performed in front of people in a LONG time, let alone done something of this nature so any words of encouragement/ideas would be most appreciated. It hasn't even really set in yet that I'm actually doing this...
